Run to the Moon! ("the app") is a community fitness app where every user's running and walking workouts contribute to a single shared distance total, visualized as a rocket traveling from Earth to the Moon. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier for your account and, on your very first sign-in only, the name associated with your Apple ID (Apple does not provide this on later sign-ins). We store this name as your display name. If you choose to set a username, that is stored alongside your account.
Workout data
With your permission, we read running and walking workouts from Apple Health, including the workout type, distance, and date/time. We use this solely to calculate your contribution to the shared community total. We do not request or read your route/GPS data, heart rate, or any other Health data, and we never write data back to Health.
Usage data
We store the distance totals and workout contribution records described above in our database (Firebase/Firestore) to maintain your personal total and the community-wide total.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
How We Use Your Information
- To calculate and display your personal and the community's cumulative distance
- To maintain your account and optional username
- To prevent duplicate counting of the same workout
Data Sharing
We use Firebase (a Google Cloud service) as our backend infrastructure provider. Firebase processes data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes. We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, we delete your personal account record, your username, and your individual workout contribution records. The distance you contributed remains part of the community's shared total, because that total is a fully anonymized aggregate number that no longer identifies you in any way. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or data — use the in-app deletion option to do that.
Children's Privacy
Run to the Moon! is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- You can revoke the app's access to Health data at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
- You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from the app's profile screen.
- You can contact us at info@superhypelabs.com with questions or data requests.
Security
We use industry-standard practices and rely on Firebase/Google Cloud's security infrastructure to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date above.
